Today, somewhere in London, a representative from EA Mobile looked across a table at a representative from Endemol and said, "deal, or no deal?"

And the Endemol representative said, "deal."

Strictly speaking, this might not actually have happened, but it should have because EA Mobile has today announced that it has obtained the rights to publish a mobile game based on Endemol's Deal or No Deal television series.

Gameloft previously had this privilege, publishing Deal or No Deal almost two years ago, since which time it has become the biggest selling mobile title ever.

EA Mobile is understandably pleased. "We are excited to have the chance to work on one of the most successful TV properties of recent years," says Javier Ferreira, VP of European Publishing. "Deal or No Deal is a phenomenally successful programme, particularly in the UK, and we look forward to creating games that will bring the true spirit of the series to a new audience on mobile platforms."

Jurian van der Meer, Head of Products & Brand Exploitation at Endemol Digital Media, is equally upbeat. "We have been looking for a partner in the mobile space to help bring this phenomenal property to an even broader audience," he says.

"We want to focus on our core strength, that of creating incredibly popular IP for a mass broadcast audience and work with global partners, such as EA Mobile, to take our TV proposition to new pervasive platforms."

Deal or No Deal the mobile game will be out in November.
