European Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII coming in Special Edition form this June
But only if you pre-order
Yes, Square Enix originally said Crisis Core would come to Europe in the spring, which technically means a release up to June 20th, but if its recently launched official Euro site is anything to go by, it looks as though the game may just miss that slot, opting for a 'very early summer' appearance instead.
We know this because Play.com is listing the game as June 27th. And it should know, given that it's one of six retail partners on the site offering the chance to pre-order the game. (Actually, of the remaining five, only Gamestation is currently also taking pre-orders, and it lists the game as a 'June' release.)
This won't be great news to fans of the series who'll no doubt be aware the US version of the game is due on March 25th. But those poor tortured souls can at least comfort themselves with the knowledge that if they do pre-order the European game they get to bag the limited edition of the game, which comes in a swanky slipcase and The Art of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII hardback artwork book.
To wonder whether it's worth taking the plunge (it's a 'while stocks last' deal, after all), why not check out our preview?
