WWE SmackDown vs Raw 08 DS trailer leaps out of its corner

The release of the much anticipated WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2008 DS is growing close and so in keeping with the publicity knack for which the sport is known, out comes a video showing some of the gameplay features of the touchscreen- and turn-based brawler.
As previously discussed in our Comic-Con 07 preview, the wrestler's movement is automatically controlled, with players choosing which attacks they want to attempt. Various grapples and throws are demonstrated, with additional combos becoming available depending how successful you are.
A brief burst of the Season mode, where you take a wrestler through the business side of WWE, and Training mini-games, in which you can buff up your fighter, are also shown. In fact, the only thing we don't understand is why THQ has embedded the video within a virtual DS Phat. Maybe it's something to do with bigger is better? See for yourself below:
