Despite being a game about soccer and costing $9.99, EA Mobile's release of FIFA 10 has already been a remarkable success.

It's already in the US top 20, at #14 as we compiled our weekly App Store Analysis over on PocketGamer.biz last night. The App Store chart itself is updated every three hours or so.

Another pricey game doing good business is Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter ($6.99). It's at #8.

Cheap and cheerful

However, as per usual, it's the 99c games that are really ripping up the US Top 100 in terms of the sheer number of downloads.

Freeverse's arcade sim Skee-Ball is at #2, while 10tons's topdown line drawing shooter Boom Brigade is at #10.

Meanwhile, Backbreaker Football (99c), has ridden the wave of the start of the NFL season - it's an American football tackle simulator - and it's at #16.

Other interesting movements include the Peggling(TM) of Godzilab's iBlast Moki over the weekend, which immediately kicked the physics-based platform into the Top 100 at #78.

It's also great to see the Daniel Johnston-inspired Hi, How Are You (99c) at #70, and free-running Canabalt in at #76 despite costing $2.99.

You can check out our full analysis, which compares the average price distribution of the Top 100, as well as the frequency of price points, and the ranking of publishers, over on PocketGamer.biz.
