Air Penguin, one of the this year's numerous bird-based App Store hits, is now available to download from the Android Market.

Gamevil's hit sees you using tilt controls to successfully guide a helpless penguin safely over a semi-frozen seascape while avoiding sharks, thin ice, and other hazards.

There are 125 Story mode stages for you to complete - each with a number of fish to collect - and a special Survival mode that tasks you with travelling as far as you possibly can.

You can use your collection of fish to purchase new abilities and special features which aid you on your mission.

Slip and slide

We gave the iPhone version of Air Penguin an impressive Silver Award when it came sliding through Pocket Gamer Towers back in April, so it's worth picking it up.

You won't even have to spend a penny as you can grab it from the Android Market completely free of charge [download].
