Age of Zombies gnaws on Android, but only for Xperia Play this month

In many ways, it's a good thing.

Well, it's good for developer Halfbrick as Sony Ericsson has presumably paid it cold, hard cash to gain the exclusive Android release of Barry Steakfries' zombie-killing streak, as experienced in Age of Zombies.

So for those of us who don't have the Xperia Play handset, we'll have to curb our enthusiasm for a month or so until that agreement runs out and we can purchase the game that is tantilising already showing up on the Android Market. It's priced £1,92 or US$2.99. (Market link)

Shotgun to gogo

As for features, this is a game that's already been released on iOS and PSP Minis, and has been described by Tracy Erickson in our Bronze award review as being not "the deepest of shooters, but... among the most fluid and easy to control."

You can get some idea of the Xperia Play incarnation in the following video.
