If you're not aware of it already, Afterpulse has launched a pretty nifty update featuring a good few in-game events this week. Of course, there's plenty of time for you to participate, but it's mainly honouring the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival.

From today (September 20th) to October 5th, all Elites in this competitive third-person shooter will receive Sky Lanterns - functioning as a medic kit - and Fireworks each day you fire up the game.

In its press release there's also word of a new enemy: The Future. Though there's a dark, distant future looming and enemies closing in, the bridge between the two is know as 'Prototype' and with it comes even more events.

  • Prototype Daily Missions: September 13th - October 11th
    • "Claim your Prototype Crates and combine your rewards to build the best Atom, Hadron and C-Trace weapons you can"

  • Combine & Power-Up Events: September 13th - 11th October
    • "For the duration of the season, your Prototype Weapons will be granting 3 times more XP when used as power up material while the Prototype Combine Event will guarantee you a Prototype Weapon"

  • Team Deathmatch: October 5th - October 11th
    • "Which team is better suited to survive in tomorrow’s world? Team Deathmatch never lies. Winner gets Blue Training Handguns"

  • Deathmatch: September 17th - September 20th
    • "Every man for himself. It is your obligation to not only survive, but to thrive even in a technological jungle! Big cash rewards for the winners"

  • Capture the Flag: September 20th - September 28th
    • "Afterpulse is hosting a thrilling Capture the Flag event where winners will have the chance to get shiny cash rewards"

  • Back to Back: September 28th to October 5th
    • "Back to Back is back in Afterpulse where winners will get the chance to obtain veteran weapons"
