SouthPeak Interactive announces TNA iMPACT!: Cross the Line for PSP and DS

Following the collapse of Midway Games, SouthPeak Interactive has announced that having acquired the license to wrestling franchise Total Nonstop Action it plans to release two games next winter: TNA iMPACT: Cross the Line for the PSP and Nintendo DS.

Richard Iggo, VP of marketing for SouthPeak, had this to say: "We look forward to giving those fans the opportunity to go head to head with all their favorite TNA superstars on the go, on either the PSP system or Nintendo DS."

Little is known as yet about the title, but you can expect to see the familiar sights of burly sweaty men in underpants attacking one another with flimsy plastic chairs.

SouthPeak currently only owns the rights to the portable versions of the games, with no word on any progress regarding the console versions previously in development by Midway.
