Jet Car Stunts developer True Axis has told Pocket Gamer that it's ready to submit a port of PomPom's award-winning Space Tripper to Apple's approval process "any day now".

Known as Astro Tripper on the PlayStation Network, Space Tripper is a top-down shmup featuring 14 levels spread across four worlds, a variety of enemies and big bosses, and one goal: blast anything that moves.

As you destroy enemies you earn power crystals that you can use to increase the deadliness of your weapons, which include powerful blue lasers. There's also a special red laser that spreads as you fire it.

As you can see for yourself in the video below, you move your craft by simply tilting your device, and change the direction of your fire with a tap.

Space Tripper will hit the App Store as a Universal app for £2.49/$3.99.
