Sleep Attack TD - a new iOS gaming coming out at midnight tonight - is a tower defence game with a twist. Literally.

You plop down towers on a large central disc that can be spun around in 360 degrees, to usher incoming enemies down specific paths and make sure the baddies wander past the most deadly turrets.

You'll soon be tackling more complicated stages with multiple discs to spin, so you can give enemies a one-two punch with complimentary attacks. It's all wonderfully clever.

It's been done before, of course - most recently in Unstoppable Gorg. But was that game set inside the dream-state of a snoozing Snorlax-like monster? I don't think so.

You've got nine different towers to build and upgrade, which are used to fend off 17 enemies. You'll also face bosses that have their own powers and special abilities. It's good fun, and we've been following it since we saw it at a Big Indie Pitch event.

You can try it for yourself at midnight. Sleep Attack TD will set you back £1.99 / $2.99. Watch out for a few optional in-app purchases, too.
