F2P action-RPG Pokémon Rumble World arrives on the 3DS eShop on April 8th
Gotta beat 'em all
3DS players and Pokémon fans, I hope you don't mind free to play games too much as that's what Nintendo seems keen on giving you.
February saw the launch of Pokémon Shuffle - a free to play match-3 game - and now, on April 8th, you'll be getting the free to play Pokémon Rumble World.
It was announced during the Nintendo Direct last night as a 3DS-only successor to the WiiWare game Pokémon Rumble.
As with the 2009 game, Rumble World has you guiding toy Pokémon through dungeons and arenas to battle other Pokémon. It's a button-masher, really - tap, smash, and repeat.
It contains over 700 Pokémon from Red and Blue, as well as from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Some of these can Mega Evolve, too.
Its currency is called PokéDiamonds, and with these you can buy hot air balloons that let you travel to new areas, discovering new types of Pokémon.
The Diamonds can also be used in other ways to aid in your journey although it wasn't specified how.
PokéDiamonds can be obtained by completing stages, over StreetPass, or by purchasing them with real money through the eShop.
