Metal Gear Solid's Raiden slicing his way into PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Evil Cole from inFamous will be a playable character, too

Metal Gear Solid's Raiden slicing his way into PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony is building up slowly to the release of Super Smash Br... sorry, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on PS Vita later this year. It's debuting on November 21st, and is bound to be a great little game, given its obvious inspiration.

Having a whole host of PlayStation characters in the game has meant that developer SuperBot can steadily reveal name after name in the run-up to the launch. This week has been no different, with two new characters added to the roster.

Metar Gear Solid's Raiden has his high-frequency blade and cyborg ninja abilities at the ready. If you didn't already know, he's a close-range fighter who utilises combos to juggle his opponents in the air. He also has a special chain-attack that can branch off into a variety of different combos depending on what you press.

Crash landing?

Evil Cole has also just been outed as a playable character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Yes, THAT Evil Cole. The nasty counterpart of Cole McGrath from inFamous. This feels like a bit of a cop-out given that good Cole is already in the game as a character, but Evil Cole does have some sweet abilities of his own, including electrokinesis and pyrokinesis.

It's a bit like calling Sheik a full character in Super Smash Bros., mind, even though she is technically just part of the Zelda character. Not that we're making comparisons between the two games or anything.

One more thing... Crash Bandicoot is almost certain to play a role in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. According to a tweet by a member of the Activision Support team, Activision "hopes" Crash will make an appearance. SuperBot itself will "have more info on this". We wait with bated breath.
