E3 2012: New Vita screenshots released for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony has just released a host of shiny new screenshots from its upcoming Vita and PS3 brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

A frantic cross-franchise fighter in the vein of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., the game includes characters from many of Sony's most popular PlayStation franchises like Sly Cooper, Fat Princess, and the God of War himself, Kratos.

Franchise wars

As PG deputy editor Will Wilson discovered during his hands-on with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale at E3, PS3 and Vita owners can compete with one another thanks to the game's cross-platform support.

Saved games can also be transferred between systems so that you won't lose your progress when you decide to leave the house for some on-the-move gaming.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released on Vita and PS3 later in the year.
