New Zealand game development studio Sidhe (GripShift, Jackass: The Game) has set up a dedicated iPhone division called PikPok.

Its first game - the tie-in to the MGM remake of the Fame film - is already out on the App Store.

"This initiative leverages Sidhe's established publishing capability into an exciting new area," said Jos Ruffell, manager of the PikPok label.

"With Fame for iPhone, we're delivering the first licensed product in a portfolio that we are creating of both original and branded entertainment properties that are targeted at mainstream consumers."

PikPok brings together Sidhe's experience making console games and cross-platform infrastructure with publishing capabilities such as in-house marketing, quality assurance, user experience testing, and community management.

You can find out more about PikPok via its website, Facebook and Twitter.
