Clearly keen to keep up with the hunger for rich ad platforms, mobile advertising firm Millennial Media as updated its SDK to allow developers to implement video powered ads within their titles.

Available for iOS (SDK version 4.0.4) and Android (version 3.6.1), the new SDK has been designed to enable ads to achieve a deeper level of engagement with their audience, claims Millennial.

Millennial on the move

"We are constantly striving to improve our SDK experience and performance, and these releases mark our fourth SDK release on each operating system in less than six months," the firm said of the new SDK.

"Developers who consistently include the latest SDKs inside their applications have access to new features and will have an even greater ability to take advantage of high CPM campaigns."

As well as the new video feature, both the iOS and Android versions of SDK will come with JavaScript support, as well as what Millennial describes as an updated overlay experience, allowing users to stay in the app while dipping into the ad in question.

Studios looking to tap up the SDK can do so from Millennial's developer portal.
