Moving on from a two year stint at Qualcomm, Isaac Babbs has just been appointed as senior VP for business development at mobile ad network Millennial Media.

Babbs, who has headed up business development at Qualcomm's services labs since October 2009, will now focus on expanding Millennial's tools and monetisation services, the company claims, benefitting developers working with the firm.

A mobile vision

Babbs' move follows a six year run on Millennial's advisory board, adding to his 25 years of experience in the mobile, technology and media field.

"As a member of the Millennial Media advisory board, I've had a first hand view of the company's impressive growth over the past five years," said Babbs.

"With a stellar executive team, proven business model and leading position as the company powering the app economy, Millennial is an industry game changer."

Big on Babbs

As well as launching mobile services within Qualcomm, Babbs co-founded shockwave.com while serving as an executive at Macromedia.

He also launched mobile gaming firms – both later acquired - Tapatap and Atlas Mobile.

"Isaac has been a key innovator in the mobile, technology, media, and entertainment spaces for over 25 years, and his track record of being a catalyst for growth will be invaluable to Millennial Media," said president and CEO Paul Palmieri.

"He brings extensive relationships and mobile expertise, and we’re thrilled to have him officially join the team."
