I'm totally into this rad-as-butt platformer Hopiko, from PUK and Alone developer Laser Dog. And let me give you three reasons why you should care, too:

It's got perfect controls. the whole thing's driven by taps and swipes, making it work perfectly on touch.

It's got a toothy difficulty curve where levels are split into five mini levels, and you're forced back to the first if you die along the way. That raises the stakes, but also encourages you to play faster and faster. Which is when the game shines.

Hopiko

And finally, the music for the game was composed on a Game Boy giving it an authentic chip-tune sound. That driving beep-boop symphony really fits the zippy pace of the game.

Hopiko, then. Hopiko. It's hard and it's awesome and it's out on iOS and Android this August. It will be a paid game with no ads or in-app purchases. Hopiko!
