Simple but satisfying on-rails zombie shooter Gunfinger is now available to download on the App Store for free.

The controls are deliberately super-simple: you just tap to shoot, or hold your finger down to to aim. You reload automatically, but you'll do it faster if you swipe the ammo counter in the bottom left.

Gunfinger comes with more than 70 missions set across locations like a farmstead, a desert canyon, and an underground mine. Plus, you get a new zombie hunting mission every day in the daily challenge mode.

There's an arsenal of weapons to unlock, buy, and upgrade. And there's a bag of special gadgets like head-popper ammo. You can also chain together combos by performing trick shots and special kills.

It's a free-to-play game, though, so you can expect multiple currencies, a pinch of grind, and one of those nasty pay-or-wait stamina systems.

Gunfinger is out now on iOS as a free Universal app.

It'll be heading to Android and Windows gizmos in the summer. Plus, developer Pixel Toys promises more missions in new locations; extra guns and gadgets; different enemy types; and even multiplayer in future updates.
