Attending Pokemon Go Fest Paris 2025

- Exploring Paris while playing Pokemon
- Lots of shiny Pokemon spawning in
- Seeing so many other trainers
It's not surprise to anyone that I would, of course, Go to Paris for Pokémon Go Fest 2025. I absolutely love Pokémon Go, and with Paris being so close, there is no reason why I wouldn't attend!
Go Fest 2025 happened in three locations around the world, with the European event being in Paris, France, in Parc de Sceaux. This is a large park right near a train station, with a large area within the park set up for Pokémon Go. The actual section of the park you could play in was like a giant rectangle, split into four zones.

At the top of the park, you could find the merch shop and a few places to eat. At the bottom, there were more places to eat, and in the middle was a bunch of different set-up scenes that gave the place more of a Pokémon Festival vibe. During the weekend event, the heat was very extreme, so many people in the park spent time in the shade of the trees. This is something that I have seen again and again at Go Fests - there really isn't ever enough shade!
During Pokémon Go Fest Paris, you can walk from section to section, capturing specific Pokémon in those areas. There is a questline to follow that gets you Volcanion! You can also choose which fusion you want enough energy to fuse; Zacian or Zamazenta, but you could only fuse one and needed to wait until Go Fest Global for the other. Each area also had different catch challenges, which sort of welcomed you to find the Pokémon you were after. For me, in the park, spawn rates were only okay, with the real increased shiny rate being in the City Explore add-on.

There were plenty of raids, however, and I was after the backgrounds for Paris, for both Zacian and Zamazenta, as well as Inteleon - they were really beautifully, featuring the Eiffel Tower. I found that the Inteleon part was extremely hard to complete outside the park, where they only had a few rounds of Gigantamax Battles throughout the day. It's also worth mentioning that if you've not been to a Go Fest event before, you have very limited time in the park for spawns.
Around the park, they had a fun castle set up, which was great for pictures, along with some areas where you can take part in activities even if you don't have a park ticket. The PvP battles are always a hit, and they tend to have a quiz every few hours for prizes. There were also booths of people handing out merch and prizes across the park, which was fun! Lots of decorations were put around - a giant Go Fest LoGo, a massive Pikachu, and a whole treasure area. You could meet Pokémon in outfits, though the weather was so warm we weren't really waiting in line, and of course, they had some influencers to meet as well.

The real feeling around Pokémon Go Fest Paris is all about seeing all of these other trainers. Throughout the day, you can hear people shout out their shinies, yell for hundos, and try to trade for regional Pokémon. We spent some time at some nearby parks during the City Experience, and the vibes there were just the same, with so many people sharing one hobby together. It's a beautiful showcase of community!
