Chasing Carrots has announced that it's bringing its cartoon-style space trading sim Cosmonautica out on July 31st.

It'll be available on iOS and Android for £4.99 / $6.99 while Steam users can get it for $14.99.

What makes it a little more special than other space traders and battlers is that it brings a focus to managing your crew. They appear at the bottom of the screen with big expressive portraits.

The idea is that this will help you to gain more of a connection with them so that you give a crap should anything bad happen to them.

And bad things could certainly happen considering that you'll do battle with space pirates and trade with unpredictable alien races.

Plus, as you gain more money and hopefully keep your crew alive, you can spend money on upgrading your ship. It's not just bigger weapons either, as you can make the furnishings more comfy for your crew too.

Keep them happy by satisfying their needs and wants, and your crew will perform better for you - it's The Sims in a spaceship.

Check out Cosmonautica's website for more details.
