Classic point-and-click title Broken Sword: The Director's Cut makes its way onto Android
Revolution Software's excellent point-and-click adventure title Broken Sword: The Director's Cut, which sleuthed its way to a Pocket Gamer Gold Award when it launched on the iPhone back in 2010, is now available to download for Android-powered smartphones and tablets from Google Play.
If you're unfamiliar with this title (where the heck have you been?!), it thrusts you into the shoes of American tourist George Stobbart as he explores exotic locations, solves all manner of different puzzles, and uncovers the secret truth of the Knights Templar. You'll also have the opportunity to play French reporter Nico Collard, George's partner in crime... busting.
This Android version of Broken Sword: The Director's Cut features a special digital version of Watchman co-creator Dave Gibbons's comic, which provides a little backstory to the title. This edition is also said to be the "most polished version to date".
"We are proud that Broken Sword: The Director's Cut is the first mainstream, high production value adventure game to be available on the Google Play store," Charles Cecil, Revolution Software's managing director, said.
