If you're a regular reader of our mobile news section, you'll have spotted recent news there that (primarily) mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft announced in its latest financials plans to release games for Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

Well now it looks like that plan could extend to PSP as well.

Website Siliconera has spotted that the game Brain Challenge - which is already available for mobile (pictured), iPod, N-Gage, iPhone and Xbox Box Live Arcade - has been submitted to the USK - Germany's equivalent of PEGI - for rating on both PlayStation 3 and PSP. A move which suggests the game will be made available on the PlayStation Network for both consoles.

Gameloft's console activities have to date been limited to releasing games on the WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade platforms. Branching out to the PlayStation consoles could see all sorts of games previously released on mobile made available for download on PSP, including Block Breaker Deluxe and Wild West Guns - both of which are available on Xbox Live Arcade.

At the moment there's no official confirmation from Gameloft on Brain Challenge's release. But we will, of course, keep you posted.
