Asphalt 6: Adrenaline WCG Edition out now for free on Samsung Galaxy SII
With a chance to feature in the World Cyber Games finals
Some days, it can feel like Gameloft releases as many special editions of its games as it does new titles.
This time, it's the turn of the actually-pretty-good-fun arcade racer Asphalt 6: Adrenaline to get the spin-off treatment - a game that managed to speed away with a well-deserved Pocket Gamer Silver Award when it was released on Android earlier in the year.
The French studio has told us that it has released a special edition of the game onto Samsung Apps - Asphalt 6: Adrenaline WCG Edition - designed solely for the Samsung Galaxy SII.
King of the Cyber RoadNot only does it offer you the chance to race around lots of exotic tracks in a Mini, but it also hands you a specially designed Samsung car to bolt around in, with the option of posting your best score to a leaderboard that will feature at the finals of the World Cyber Games (hence the mysterious WCG abbreviation).
This isn't the first time the company has used the game as a springboard to fame and riches, as iPhone gamers were in with a chance of winning a sparkling new Audi earlier in the year, in a competition that revealed I was one of the top 20 drivers in the world.
One at a time, please, ladies.
Asphalt 6: Adrenaline WCG Edition is available now for free via Samsung Apps.
