Cancel any plans you had for the weekend, because Deus Ex: The Fall - Square Enix's semi-sequel to the smash-hit console game Deus Ex: Human Revolution - is heading to the App Store on Thursday.

Set at around the same time as its forebear, the game tells the story of one Ben Saxon, a former member of the Tyrants (the bad guys from Human Revolution) who's caught up in a conspiracy involving some huge corporations.

This inevitably leads to sneaking, shooting, moral choices, and gritty violence in a dystopian cyber punk future. Which is fine by us.

The game has been developed by Square Enix Mobile in Europe, but those chaps have worked closely with the team behind the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution to make sure the game stays as close to its roots as possible.

In our hands-on preview of Deus Ex: The Fall, we said, "it abides by the central tenets of the Deus Ex experience, and the Human Revolution style has been mimicked with meticulous attention to detail."

Deus Ex: The Fall will require an iPad 2 or higher, an iPhone 4S or higher, or an iPod Touch 5 to run, and it'll cost £4.99/$6.99 when it pops up on the App Store on July 11th.

Right now we're still not sure when the game is going to come out for Android, despite Square Enix stating that it's definitely coming to Google's mobile platform. We'll keep you posted when we know more.
