[Update] Wipeout-like sci-fi racing game AG Drive zips onto the App Store

Updated on February 20th, at 11:01: Whoops! AG Drive doesn't have in-app purchases after all. The text on the App Store which warns you about IAPs was a hold-over from the game's freemium days during soft launch.

We've been playing the game and can confirm that you won't be pestered to pay 69p for boosts or energy or anything. Hooray!

Stunning Wipeout-inspired racing game AG Drive is finally available on the App Store, after a lengthy soft launch. It costs £2.99 / $3.99.

If you're an avid PG reader, you'll know that this game won the Big Indie Pitch at Pocket Gamer Connects in Helsinki. And that creative director Petsku Putkonen sold his collection of retro Transformers figures on eBay to fund the game.

The game has single races, time trial challenges, elimination events, cups, speed records, duels and more. There are lots of tracks to race, and each ship has different stats and driving models.

AG Drive does have in-app purchases, so you might want to wait for our review before jumping in.
