Rocket League Sideswipe reveals the release date for the long-awaited Season 7, bringing with it a new Rocket Pass and an assortment of changes and new content

Developer Psyonix has announced that their popular mobile edition of the renowned success that is Rocket League, titled Rocket League Sideswipe, will be getting its 7th season come January 30th. This new season, as per usual with every new season, brings with it an abundance of new content, cosmetics, a new Rocket Pass full of earnable rewards, and much, much more.

A big focus of this upcoming season according to Psyonix is actually a lot of adjustments to the Rocket Pass and also Ranked Seasons, making both a little less gruelling to try and grind your way through. The changes to these, as well as every other addition, are discussed in-depth within these patch notes, so check those out for a deep dive into all the details.

In the meantime, let’s go over the highlights! A brand new portion of the menu has been added in the Collection Tab, which is a new way to go over all of your items in your inventory and earn rewards for completing certain assortments of various items. On top of this, there’s also a new currency, Tokens, which can be earned through a variety of ways and used in the new Token Shop tab of the menu too.

There’s also a new mode within the Advanced Tutorials, which introduces new players to techniques that might not be super approachable to beginners, but will offer a way for those rookies to learn them. Finally, there are also new Ranked Rewards to earn depending on how far you climb that ladder during the season.

Those are the big new changes coming to the game with this update! On the cosmetic side of things, we’ve yet to see what’s in store for the Rocket Pass, so stay tuned as the release date comes closer and more is revealed over time.
