After shifting 24 million copies of its Barclaycard advergame Waterslide Extreme, developer Fishlabs decided - somewhat unsurprisingly - to produce a sequel for iPhone and iPad.

While the German studio is perhaps best known for its excellent space dogfighter Galaxy on Fire 2 and the polished Snowboard Hero, Waterslide Extreme managed to accrue a massive user base.

In this hypersonic follow-up, players choose from either man, woman, or penguin, before launching themselves down 30 vertigo-inducing water chutes.

Collecting pearls is the aim of the game, though crabs, octopi, and squid make it their mission to prevent your accomplishing this.

Included in the package is Game Center and OpenFeint compatibility, with 14 achievements up for grabs all told.

Waterslide 2 is a Universal app, and is out now for 69p / 99c / €0.79.
