New mobile business head hired to push pocket content

Warner Bros turns its attention to mobile

Warner Bros has dabbled in mobile for quite some time, having flirted with a wireless corporate branch in the past and forged distribution deals with mobile developers earlier this year.

The entertainment giant is once again turning its focus on the most important area of consumer electronics in the past decade and it's hired Natalie Farsi as its new head of mobile business.

Farsi will apparently report to two different areas under the Warner Bros umbrella: Brett Bouttier of Warner Bros television group and Andy Mellett of Warner Bros digital distribution. This suggests she'll be working not only with third party developers, but also brokering licenses with the companies vast catalogue of IPs.

Farsi comes to the position after consulting for Warner Bros since 2007, after ending her role with Fox Mobile Studios where she headed up the consumer entertainment division.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
