Ubisoft announces a mobile version of Tom Clancy's The Division

Ubisoft is once again looking to show its presence in the mobile app markets, and this time it is with Tom Clancy’s The Division. The exclusive news was revealed by Alain Corre, Executive Director of Ubisoft EMEA.

The game is based on the original Tom Clancy franchise that was started by Tom Clancy Leo Jr., an American novelist. The franchise encompasses a range of media including novels, games and movies.

The Division’s initial release was in March 2016, and now it’s time for it to come to mobile devices in some form. However, since the game is still under development and there’s no information about its platforms and minimum system requirements.

Ubisoft uses the name to pull out action FPS games, based on the works of the novelist. The Division is also a part of the same branding. With the announcement of the mobile title, Ubisoft has also produced a timeline for The Division.

Ubisoft has named the timeline as The Division’s Universe. It can be assumed that the project is going to be a massive one. The timeline above mentions that the games will be receiving multiple versions along with new content.

And a piece of good news for all the fans of the Tom Clancy universe and Netflix fans is that The Division will also release a novel and a film in the near future. Clearly, Ubisoft is trying to create hype among its fans by focusing on multimedia contents to keep them engage with the series.

The Division movie will star Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead roles. So far this is all the information we have gathered. Stay tuned for more information on the development of the title.
