[Update] The gorgeous puzzler The Witness is now out on iPhone and iPad

Updated on September 21st, 12:27: Turns out "very, very soon" means tonight, as the long-waited puzzler is finally available on iOS.

The mysterious island and line-drawing puzzles of The Witness can be purchased £9.99 / $9.99 on both iPad and iPhone.

The Witness is a striking 3D puzzler which puts you on an island with no memory and no idea what's going on, and watches you solve your way through multiple locations. Solve the puzzles, fill in the story, and get your memories back as you go.

Originally rumoured and then sort-of-confirmed earlier in the year, the latest teaser trailer on the App Store's Twitter may as well have shouted it at us (it's at 0:13 on the video). Thekla Inc's Producer Kenzie Paulus also confirmed the news on her Twitter earlier today.

We don't know when but we know where the game'll be dropping - on iPhone and iPad 'very, very soon'.
