Whacking Day of the Dead

Halloween is upon us in the latest update to The Simpsons: Tapped Out

With just a few weeks to go until Halloween, those lovely folks over at EA have decided to treat (rather than trick) The Simpsons: Tapped Out players with a spooky new update.

This Halloween update for iOS and Android contains apparitions that can be whacked, vacuumed, or blown up.

With each apparition slain, you gain precious GOO (a currency used to win prizes and unlock community rewards).

If ghost bustin' isn't your thing, though, you can always hunt gremlins, capture them, then release them in a friend's town to wreak havoc.

If you were holding out for some new Simpsons characters with which to toy around, by the way, you won't be disappointed.

In this new update, you'll find Count Burns, Suzanne the Witch, and a re-animated Maude Flanders hell-bent on gaining vengeance on Homer.

New shops and buildings included in this spooky update are the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop, King Homer's Skyscraper, First Church of Lard Lad, and Ultrahouse 2.

Looks like The Simpsons: Tapped Out players will have a busy few weeks ahead.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out Halloween update is available now on the App Store and on Google Play.
