Super Mario-inspired pixel-art platformer The Other Brothers will leap onto iOS on April 4th

Take a seat, boys and girls, for we have some good news and some bad news to share with you.

The bad news is that Tobgame's gorgeous-looking pixel-art platformer The Other Brothers won't be released this month as expected.

The good news is that this modern take on classic 16-bit platformers will - instead - hit Apple's App Store on April 4th. That's next Thursday. Hoorah!

In The Other Brothers, you take control of two brave plumbers, and make your way through a variety of expansive levels in search of a missing princess.

Unlike in a lot of classic platformers, the levels in The Other Brothers are non-linear. So, you'll have to climb ladders and slide down chutes to reach each stage's exit.

April 4th, guys. Jot it down. Somewhere.
