Dundee-based Tag Games is to celebrate its sixth anniversary by hosting a 24 hour game jam, dubbed Tag Jam 2012.

As is the case with most jams, Tag's event will see teams take on each other to create the best games they can in 24 hours, with Tag Jam kicking off at 6pm UK time today.

Jammin' it

However, in a bid to promote the jam beyond Tag Games' borders, the developer is to broadcast segments of the event via a series of video podcasts (see below), all streaming alongside a standard liveblog.

Tag Games is looking for viewers to send questions for the teams taking part the company's way, either via Twitter – using hashtag #TJ12 – or via the jam's Facebook page.

"Any and all questions are welcome," said Tag Games' Simon Adams via email.

"Want to know about what people are eating to stay awake? If there has been any team conflict? Anything can be asked. It’s a real time mash up of reality TV and game development."

More details can be found on the Tag Jam 2012 website.
