Super Secret Service is a sharp arcade game about stopping projectiles for iPad and iPhone

Super Secret Service is a two touch arcade game that's all about protectingf a fictional president from attack.

You control two members of the titular force, stationed at either side of a lectern from where the politician you're sworn to protect is delivering some sort of impassioned speech.

Enemies of freedom scoot through the audience, tossing projectiles at the pres. There are guns, tomatoes, and weird black balls of energy.

It's your job to stop those projectiles by leaping heroically in front of them.

Bananas and paper aeroplanes pose no threat, but when things are being hurled left right and centre it's hard to take stock of what's lethal and what's harmless.

It takes a moment for an agent to dust himself off and resume his post, so if you're diving when it's unnecessary you're pointing your charge at greater risk.

Presents add a shield around the plinth that means you can take an extra hit before it's game over. Sometimes trying to grab them can lead to tragedy though.

You can grab Super Secret Service from the App Store right now for 69p / 99c, and if you're looking for some quick-fire, satirical fun, then we reckon it's worth that.

Also, check out our hands-on video with the game back up that way. It's worth a gander.
