iPhone Super Monkey Ball gets Lite version

Better late than never, eh Sega?

iPhone Super Monkey Ball gets Lite version

Sega has launched a free Lite demo version of its iPhone action game Super Monkey Ball.

The three-level demo is a bit late, given that the original game was an iPhone launch title last July, and has been one of the top-selling games on Apple's App Store.

However, it's currently in 20th position on the UK App Store's Paid Games chart, so Sega clearly feels it needs a promotional push to nudge it back up.

Lite free iPhone games have been a proven success in boosting sales of the premium versions, most recently with indie-developed iShoot, which rocketed up the charts after the release of its Lite demo.

However, Sega fans are waiting for the publisher to release more iPhone games - so far (in the UK at least), it's only launched Super Monkey Ball and SEGA Columns Deluxe on the App Store.
