We told you just over a week ago that True Axis was ready to submit its port of Space Tripper to Apple's approval process.

Well, we can now tell you that the shmup is currently being poked, prodded, analysed, and tested by the Cupertino company.

In case you've forgotten, Space Tripper (known as Astro Tripper on PSN) is a top-down shmup spread across four worlds and 14 levels.

Your aim? Blast waves of enemies and huge bosses using your powerful laser attacks, collect power crystals and upgrade your weapons, and blast even more waves of enemies. Not forgetting the huge bosses.

Space Tripper will blast onto the App Store as a Universal app for £2.49/$3.99. It should arrive in around a week's time, providing it doesn't fall foul of Apple's beady eye.
