When classic weapon-based brawler Soul Calibur thrust its way onto the App Store in January, our reviewer had one major complaint with it: the lack of multiplayer support.

Thankfully, Namco decided to address this omission in its latest update by allowing players to battle it out over a Bluetooth connection.

Unfortunately, the new wireless VS Mode is not compatible with the iPod touch, but if you own a new(-ish) iPhone or iPad, you're just an update away from locking swords with work colleagues and fellow train passengers.

If you want to step back onto the Stage of History, you can download the Bronze Award-winning Soul Calibur from the App Store for £7.99 / $11.99.
