Slashy Hero is so scary!

Well, not really, but I get why you think so. It's a Halloween roguelike after all.

So if I die I'm gone for good?

It's not really a hardcore roguelike where your entire progress is reset though so don't worry so much. All equippable items, sweets, and upgrades you've gathered will remain when you respawn, and you can even teleport back to the last checkpoint rather than start over.

What's with all the sweets lying around?

The story goes that an evil mansion has stole all the sweets in the world and it's completely ruined Halloween. You play as a scary hero who's decided it's not on.

Sounds like a great thing to do

Well, sort of. You're hording all of the sweets you collect and selling them on in exchange for upgrades to improve your power, health, and speed.

But you're still killing all of the monsters…

Yup, and it's a lot of fun. Swiping through a bunch of dastardly creatures and watching them explode in a puff of smoke is incredibly satisfying.

So the combat's good then?

Yup. Seriously, give it a try. You tap and hold to move anywhere on the screen and then swipe a path from your character through a bunch of monsters to slash them all to pieces.

You're scaring me, I'm getting out of here!

Don't be afraid, just download Slashy Hero and have some fun. There's a few different modes to play, it's free, and, as I said before, it's incredibly satisfying to make monsters explode after hitting them with a sword or cocktail.
