Out at midnight: Sky Force 2014 is the 10-year anniversary remake of the classic arcade shooter
Mega-bombs away
Believe it or not, it's been ten years since Sky Force first impressed us. It was one of the best-looking mobile games back in 2004.
To celebrate the game's anniversary, Infinite Dreams will be releasing a remake of Sky Force tonight.
It will also serve as a demonstration of the ridiculous advances of mobile technology over the past decade.
You see, to do justice to the original Sky Force, Infinite Dreams has ensured the graphics in Sky Force 2014 really pop.
Take a look for yourself in the trailer below.
The rest of the game should be familiar to those who played the original.
It's a scrolling arcade shooter in which you blast through a series of destructive missions saving civilians. Upgrading your ship is vital for survival (I recommend grabbing mega-bombs as soon as you can).
If you need more to keep you occupied, you'll be able to get involved in the weekly tournaments where you can compete against your friends.
Sky Force 2014 will be free to download when it surfaces on the UK and US App Stores at midnight. It should also be available for Android tomorrow.
