| Pac-Man Bounce

Pac-Man Bounce is a Pac-Man game in which you don't control Pac-Man.

Sounds stupid, I know, but hear me out.

Instead, you guide the yellow dot-muncher by positioning launch pads around bright, saccharine levels. The aim is to grab all three stars and munch on a (presumably edible) key.

New mechanics are introduced at a perfect pace - enemies, moveable walls, and weapon blobs all serve to freshen things up nicely.

It's a shame, then, that player creativity is stifled by the over-aggressive free to play elements. Even if successful, you're forced to wait or watch an ad before playing again, and this discourages experimentation - you don't want to waste a life, after all.

Despite this, Pac-Man Bounce offers enough satisfying head-scratching to be worth your time - and maybe even a quarter, too.

Pac-Man Bounce is an enjoyable twist on one of gaming's founding members - it's just a shame this old dog had to learn new, free to play tricks
