Mobile Distillery has opened an office in Singapore – the company’s first in Asia. And the mobile middleware and services specialist has appointed Emilie Guldner as its first executive to operate out of the territory.

As business development manager for the Asia Pacific region, Guldner will help Mobile Distillery cater for what it says is the growing global demand for its production platform and testing services.

To this end, the company has also made several other appointments to beef up its global presence:

  • Steve Haney, the ex-Tira Wireless executive, has joined as VP of Mobile Distillery's North American office. The company entered the North American market in early 2008, and already has several large clients.
  • Jean-Marc Rocchi joins as business development manager, focusing on the growing markets of mobile payment and authentification. Jean-Marc brings 17 years of experience in the telecoms industry, with a specific focus on SIM manufacturers, mobile network providers and software integrators.
  • François-Joseph Viallon has become head of the operators business unit. Viallon first joined Mobile Distillery in 2005 as head of business development for Southern Europe.
  • Delphine Guyot has become head of mobile distillery's Testing Labs. Guyot will ensure the quality of Mobile Distillery's fast-turnaround testing services for mobile applications on real handsets, as well as assisting customers in their testing plans.

"These appointments and promotions are key to support new mobile market trends and the related challenges for 2009,” said Vincent Berge, co-founder and CEO of Mobile Distillery.

“We already see strong demand from large corporations for collaborative frameworks for the creation of mobile applications,” Berge added.
