Krystopia: Nova's Journey is an enchanting adventure game available today for iOS & Android
A sequel to last year's Krystopia: A Puzzle Journey
Point-and-click adventure fans might remember Antler Interactive's Krystopia: A Puzzle Journey from late last year. It tasked you with solving a mix of tricky puzzles in order to safely guide space explorer Nova through the striking world of Krystopia.
Its sequel, Krystopia: Nova's Journey, has just launched today for Android and iOS, and it's said to improve and expand upon its predecessor, packing in more puzzles to solve and mysteries to uncover than ever before.
One thing that hasn't changed is the series' appealing art style. Krystopia is a colourful and surprisingly varied video game locale, serving up increasingly pretty environments to enjoy, ranging from underground caverns to a vibrant city.
The puzzles here will be familiar to anyone who's enjoyed games like The Witness or the Faraway series. Most are grid-based, though the game routinely mixes things up and complicates matters by introducing new puzzle elements. The majority are also built into the world in interesting ways, making Krystopia feel more alive and interactive than your average puzzle game setting.
And while it's a fairly relaxed experience – aided in no small part by the soothing soundtrack – you shouldn't expect Nova's Journey to be a walk in the park. Thankfully, you won't be alone on your adventure, with Nova's alien pal Skrii being more than happy to help out whenever possible. You can easily switch between the two characters if and when the need arises.
As you continue to progress, you'll grow to better understand the world of Krystopia and its present conflict. Eventually, you might even be faced with some tricky moral dilemmas and be forced to pick a side.On the hunt for some high-quality adventure games? Here are 25 of our favourites on mobile
