Alone dev's incoming hyper-speed platformer Hopiko is about saving the future of gaming
It has a fantastic chiptune soundtrack, too

Laser Dog's frantic auto-runner ALONE was pretty good. How good? It got a Gold Award. So, very good, then.
It's all the reason we need to look forward to the studio's next game Hopiko.
But Laser Dog isn't letting the announcement of its next game go without drumming up the excitement. Hence there's a trailer that should certainly watch below.

Did you see that? Looks pretty sweet, right? Perhaps more importantly: did you hear it? That fantastic chiptune soundtrack is made entirely on a Gameboy. You can get a sample right here.
Laser Dog calls Hopiko a "lightning fast mobile platformer with no onscreen controller."
So how the controls work is unknown. Most likely it's going to be tapping to make the character jump between the platforms. That would make it a game about timing.
Otherwise it may involve swiping but that would probably make it more awkward than it need be.
What we do know for certain is that it's a game about saving the future of gaming. The Nanobites have destroyed all gaming in the world and you need to restore it.

How jumping between the platforms, from the start to the exit of each of these levels, is going to achieve this goal isn't clear.
We'll certainly know by this summer, though, as that's when Hopiko is out for iOS and Android. Now, how about we watch that trailer again, yeah?
