Russian developer HeroCraft is never far from the frontlines of the the mobile games industry, and has just licensed five new titles for adaptation to the pocket platforms.

According to Mobile-Ent.biz, HeroCraft will be handling a port of the immensely popular iPhone and Android title Farm Frenzy to Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Symbian and J2ME.

It'll also be bringing PC games Hearts of Iron, Majesty, Yumsters and Musaic to Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Android and J2ME as part of a couple of separate deals.

It's quite an unusual move for mobile companies to turn to what's essentially a rival to port their games to new platforms easily within their reach, though clearly the partnership is serving both parties well.

If HeroCraft decides to add iPhone to its roster, this Russian powerhouse could easily become a major world player in the mobile and smartphone markets.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
