Details are sketchy, but MobileGamesBlog is reporting that Russian developer HeroCraft has put itself on the market.

The blog claims HeroCraft, which has a portfolio of titles that stretch from smartphones to Java, had previously been engaged in negotiations with unnamed parties to tap up a suitable partner for growth.

Following the break down of such talks, the developer – which analysts predict is worth $10 million - is now on the look out for a new partner.

Pondering a partnership

Just form such a deal would take - whether buyout or strategic alliance - is unclear, however.

The firm certainly has previous in terms of signing important deals, having picked up license agreements to bring a series of games from rivals – including iPhone and Android hit Farm Frenzy – to Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Symbian and J2ME back in 2009.

More recently, HeroCraft has enjoyed much success on Nokia's Ovi Store, with total downloads surpassing 12.3 million in December.
