Having secured funding and formed partnerships with manufacturers like Asus, BlueStacks has now set about finding content for its Android App Player.

The tool allows Android apps to run on PC hardware, with Windows having previously been the focus.

Now Apple's Mac is set to benefit, with mobile developer HandyGames signing up several titles in its library to BlueStacks' Android App Player for Mac.

"In collaboration with our technology partner BlueStacks we're moving full steam ahead in our strategy to bring our games to as many platforms as possible," said HandyGames CEO Markus Kassulke.

"We're extremely excited that we have been given the opportunity to extend the reach of our games to the traditionally closed Apple ecosystem."

HandyGames claims said titles will be available for free, with the Android App Player for Mac itself currently in public alpha version.
