With the platforms launched and territories being added to the roster, the race is now firmly on between the social platforms to secure the best content.

As such, it's good news for Mobage that, two months after ngmoco signed a deal with TinyCo to bring its line-up to DeNA's platform, the firm has secured a similar agreement with Glu.

Moving on Mobage

As a result, the San Francisco-based publisher is to bring freemium release Gun Bros. to Mobage's Android platform, adding to what ngmoco claims is an "unparalleled line-up of AAA gaming content for the western markets".

"Glu Mobile is one of the most talented social and freemium game developers in the world and ngmoco is thrilled to welcome them to Mobage," said ngmoco CPO Simon Jeffery.

"Gun Bros. is a blockbuster addition to Mobage's line up of the world’s best line up of social and free mobile games."

Gunning for gamers

Glu's Gun Bros. joins what ngmoco cites as a total of 30 games aimed at the western market, with publishers such as Backflip, Bolt Creative, Nexon and NimbleBit on board.

A further 120 games are also in development according to the firm's figures.

It's the combination of this level of support, and the platform's 35 million-strong worldwide userbase that Glu believes makes Mobage the perfect home for its freemium releases.

"Mobage is the premier mobile destination for social games and the perfect platform to bring Gun Bros. to an even wider audience," added Glu Mobile's SVP of sales and marketing Adam Flanders.

"Mobage provides independent developers like Glu an opportunity to quickly, easily and profitably deploy our games to a massive mobile audience around the world."
