Mobile gaming can sometimes be a quiet, private experience.

But I urge you with every fibre of my being to turn the sound up for the trailer for Spiel Studios's auto-running platformer Galaxy Run. You will not be disappointed.

The game is out on the App Store right now, and it features a huge chunk of bite-sized levels.

You need to lead heroic space bumbler Rez through each of the 360 challenges, using simple one-touch controls to get to your goal.

Each set of levels is based around a different mechanic. You might get a jet pack, a direction-switching pole, or a counter that - once you've nabbed - enables you to do a double-jump.

Spiel Studios keeps things fresh, and while most of the levels only last a handful of seconds, there are some interesting challenges that'll test the speed of your reactions.

Sure, Galaxy Run isn't the best-looking game out there, but there's enough content here to keep you playing for a good long while.

Galaxy Run is out for iPad and iPhone now, and will set you back 69p / 99c.
