With the launch of its borderless cross-platform social gaming network due soon, Japanese platform company GREE has signed what's been called a "comprehensive business relationship" with ICS Mobile.

It's the outfit behind the successful Free App A Day iOS promotion network.

The result will see the companies combining to provide what they label "a comprehensive marketing and promotion solution to iOS developers"; presumably those whose titles are launched through the GREE platform.

GREE to play

GREE will launch its new GREE Platform for iOS and Android free-to-play gaming in Q2

It hopes that its planned $50 million marketing campaign together with the activity through the FAAD Network - which includes over a million active gamers - will enable a successful launch.

"FreeAppADay.com has a global reach and GREE has a global vision of the market, therefore a deeper collaboration made total sense," commented ICS Mobile founder Joe Bayen.

"The big winners will continue to be small and large developers who will benefit from new tools to promote their applications worldwide.

"Most importantly, this collaboration allows us to remain true to our core belief of giving a chance to indie developers in an increasingly competitive iOS market."
