As we reported yesterday, iPhone game promo website FreeAppADay boosted Com2uS's Heavy Gunner 3D to the top of the US free charts in 15 hours over the weekend; a new record.

But that wasn't the only activity.

Other promoted games including Tap Store, Battle Bears, Marine Sharpshooter and Little Metal Ball, were also in the free top 10.

"We made various adjustments to our promotional strategies which allowed us to leverage our large user base and twitter following more efficiently, while helping developers generate more income in the process," says Joe Bayen, FAAD's CEO.

More promo

The site recently announced its FAAD feed, enabling developers to integrate an XML feed highlighting which game is being promoted into their app.

And next up, will be a standalone iPhone app.

"It will further solidify our position as the most effective discovery and monetisation platform in the App Store," Bayen explains.

The website is also poised to announce a new partnership, which it says will provide more tracking and analytics tools to the iPhone developer community.
